Rules

It's Common Sense

OOC Conduct

1. Don't be obnoxious. Members and staff require respect at all times. Keep drama off the site; cause it and we won't hesitate to ban you. Bullshit will not be tolerated. Consider this your ONLY warning.
2. Let's keep it PG-13. But as long as it's classy, you can get away with almost anything.
3. We are also an intermediate/advanced RPG, we expect writing and character quality to reflect this. There is no set "post length" and we'll take quality over quantity any day but don't write a sentence and expect it to sit well with us. Don't use chatspeak, netspeak, l337, or "old English". Also, for the sake of consitency and flow, please use third person only.
4. We're all here to have fun and enjoy ourselves so with that in mind-- if you steal, write, or do something inappropriate or inflammatory and you get warned/banned/blacklisted, it's your fault. Not the staff's, not the other player's, yours. In other words, if you're good to us, we'll be good to you :) Golden rule kiddies.

IC Conduct

1. Historical accuracy is close to paramount. We have an information section and there is something called "Google"; you have tools, use them. Clothing, speech, technology, names, general attitudes, etc. must reflect the times. And there will be some societal expectations that your characters should adhere too most of the times at least. Be creative though! The mark of a good roleplayer is to take what you've got and shape it into something truly astounding! See what you can do with 18th century! We will update the month as we see fit (depending on what the bulk of the characters are up to). "Speed development"/"sluggish development" is not allowed. Characters will be expected to abide by certain societal expectations. Now we're not all experts on the period, but there are plenty of places to look and learn.
Hint: It takes a ship about 2 months to travel from New York to England. Travel can take even longer within the colonies due to poor roads! Keep those travel times in mind when you create characters!
2. Don't powerplay (w/o permission) or godmodel.
3. No titles will be allowed without prior admin. approval.
4. Please spare us an excess of flawlessly gorgeous, wealthy girls. We like variety! Some pretty rich girls are okay. But a variety of ages, appearances, and backgrounds are so much more fun.
5. If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the OOC board. However, check the information sections first.
